I will tell Johanna Ng’eno’s mother what killed her son; Gachagua

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced that he will report to the mother of the late Member of Parliament Johanna Ng’eno on what he believes killed her son during his tour of Emurua Dikirr Constituency.

Speaking during a visit by a delegation from the Wiper Party, the outspoken Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader said he would reveal everything he knows to Ng’eno’s mother before holding rallies in the area on August 21, 2026.

“Nitaenda kwa mama Johanna Ng’eno nimuambie vile kijana yake aliuliwa; kama Ruto anataka kutupiga akuje TUMEZOEA,” Gachagua declared.

This comes at a time when Gachagua has been raising questions about what caused the death of the late MP, who died in the Mosop area in an air crash on February 28, 2026, while travelling from West Pokot for an empowerment function.

Gachagua has previously suggested that there was more to Ng’eno’s death than met the eye, claiming that it was not a natural occurrence but a deliberate plan to eliminate the late lawmaker, whom he described as a fierce leader.

His latest remarks come ahead of his planned visit to Emurua Dikirr, where he is expected to thank residents who supported the DCP candidate during the recent by-election.

The DCP candidate garnered more than 10,000 votes, finishing second behind United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate David Keter, popularly known as Dollarline, who secured about 18,000 votes.

Despite the defeat, the DCP performance was viewed by Gachagua as significant, given the constituency’s status as a stronghold of President Ruto.

The results have boosted Gachagua’s confidence in his support among members of the Kipsigis community, as he continues efforts to expand DCP’s influence in the region and challenge President Ruto’s political dominance.

Gachagua has also declared DCP the party of choice among the Kipsigis community, saying the party will field candidates for all elective positions in the region in the 2027 general election.

The political push comes after more than 2,000 Kipsigis residents visited Gachagua at his Wamunyoro home, where he promised to address several issues affecting the community.
