The Wiper Patriotic Front has dismissed ditching the United Opposition amid viral reports that its leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, is planning to exit the movement.
In a notice on Tuesday, July 28, the party flagged as fake a viral letter purporting that Kalonzo would make public his political stand on Tuesday.
The party dismissed the reports, noting that such a letter did not originate from them. it further urged the public to disregard it.
“Ignore the fake news. We are committed to the Wantam Movement. Kenya’s liberation is a must, and Kenya cannot be liberated until we send this regime home,” the party stated.
According to the party, it is committed to the movement and will work together in efforts to defeat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Elections.
The fake notice bearing the Wiper Patriotic Front logo claimed that the former Vice President would address members of the media at the SKM Command Centre in Karen at 2 pm.
According to the document, Kalonzo was expected to make a “significant statement regarding his political trajectory and the future of Kenya’s leadership.”

The development comes at a time when Kalonzo’s political position has attracted heightened attention ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The public has criticised him for practising low-key politics, with many questioning his choice of engagements.
Over the weekend, while other leaders allied to the opposition were going around the country in huge rallies, Kalonzo was at his home area in Tseikuru, Kitui county.
For this reason, many labeled him unserious, especially as the opposition intensifies efforts to send Ruto home in 2027.
Kalonzo is one of the names likely to be picked as the opposition’s presidential candidate after the coalition agreed to front a single candidate to face President Ruto in the ballot.
