Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has claimed that he was removed from WhatsApp groups associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement over what he termed disagreements about the political party that would serve as the movement’s political vehicle.
Amisi made the claim while responding to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who gave an account of how leaders of Linda Mwananchi considered different political parties that could be used by the movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
“I knew one day the truth shall come out. I am now vindicated,” Amisi said while responding to Owino’s remarks.
Amisi thanked Owino for what he described as confirmation that his Political Movement party was the party initially formed to propel Linda Mwananchi.
He further claimed that some individuals later joined the movement, interfered with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s position and removed him [Amisi] from Linda Mwananchi WhatsApp groups.
Amisi also alleged that his party was later labelled a “mole” and “wheelbarrow” party to discourage people from supporting it.
“Thank you @HEBabuOwino for confirming that PM party was the party formed to propel Linda Mwananchi,” Amisi said.
He added that he remained committed to what he described as a generational political cause.
“God of Caleb is overworking! No weapon formed against our generational call for duty shall prosper! Our fourth liberation must be won no matter what!” he said.

Amisi’s remarks followed a video in which Owino gave his account of events that led Linda Mwananchi leaders to consider using a political party as their electoral vehicle.
Owino said he had already planned to have a political party and contest for governor in 2027 before Linda Mwananchi was formed.
“And I knew that in 2027 I would have a political party and vie as a governor. That is long before Linda Mwananchi came into being,” Owino said.
He said that after Linda Mwananchi took shape, its leaders held a retreat and formed a four-member committee to identify a political party that could be used by the movement.
Owino said all four members had political parties, including Amisi and himself, and were tasked with finding one party into which they could amalgamate their respective parties.
He said two of the parties were dropped because they were not fully registered, while Amisi’s party remained under consideration after he was expected to obtain its registration certificate.
Owino said Amisi later left Linda Mwananchi, leaving his party as the one that was initially expected to serve as the movement’s political vehicle.
He said other political principals subsequently joined the movement, with one introducing another party.
According to Owino, discussions then shifted to whether that party or his own party would be used by Linda Mwananchi.
He said he subsequently met Sifuna in his office to discuss the matter, including the question of what political vehicle would ultimately be used.
Owino said Sifuna told him there was no problem with the options available and that a coalition could be considered.
